Morocco will host the 2025 AFCON, a major event that promises to be one of the most spectacular editions in the competition’s history. It will be an opportunity for the country to showcase its modern infrastructure (renovated stadiums, transport networks) and confirm its status as a leading sports destination. Morocco aims to organize a model AFCON in terms of organization, sustainability, and security.

  1. 2030 FIFA World Cup – Morocco, Spain, Portugal (opening matches in Morocco)

Africa will participate in organizing the 2030 World Cup, with Morocco as co-host. This will be the second time the World Cup has been held in Africa since 2010. The kingdom plans to host at least three to five matches, including a possible opening match. This historic project will shine a huge spotlight on the continent and will require massive investments in stadiums, transportation, and accommodation.

  1. 2027 African Games – Egypt

Egypt will host the 2027 African Games, the continent’s largest multi-sport event. The event will bring together thousands of athletes from over 50 African countries, competing in modern venues in Cairo, Alexandria, and other cities. The African Games are a springboard for many athletes on their way to the Olympic Games and contribute to the continent’s sporting reputation.

  1. 2026 Youth Olympic Games – Dakar, Senegal

This is the first-ever Olympic event to be held in Africa.
